For my daughters 10th birthday we had a 50's party. We had everyone dress in their 50's outfit. For dinner we had hambugers and french fries in a basket like they used at the 50's
diners. My daughter and a friend pretended to be waitresses and went around and took all her friends orders on order tickets.
They turned the order into the cook (me) and I filled the order and they served the burgers. For desert I served ice cream sundaes in a glass icecream dish. The girls got to fix their own with all the fun toppings. After dinner we had a dance contest in the living room that was decorated like a 50's diner. We gave out awards for the best dancer and the worst dancer. In the kitchen we made out large minues with prices on them like hamburger $.25. They got to keep the hamburger basket and the glass for the ice cream for the party favor. The kids had a ball.
