For my 12th birthday party, I had everybody (even the adults) dress up in 50's clothing. (you can buy them at costume stores) First we played games. ONe of the games are "Float Finish
Ups" Everybody who wants to participate gets a soda float. The object of the game is the person who finish up the first float. They can choose a special "secret gift" from the
box. Next "Bubblegum Blow-OUt" The person who blows the largest wins. (All the game winners get a special gift from the party box. We play limbo and a Dance-Off. The adults
loved that one because they get to dance with their partners and ALL of them knows the moves. Us kids just follow along. But it seemed that we all know what were doing. WE finally got hungry.
I got two of my Aunts to especially dress up as 50's waitreses and ride on their rollerblades. WE served, All-American, Cheeseburgers (They were grilled too.) The guests get to choose if they
want to order "Double Special" -Double deck Cheeseburger w/ soda float and fries. or the "Original"--Cheeseburger, fries and our special chocolate shake. We ate in my
"DINER" which took place in the garage. I had an inflatable juke box. Behind it is a stereo. MOst people got fooled because they thought the music we played came from the juke box.
My cake was a cookie cake that looked like a record. Of course chocolate frosting in the middle that says "Happy Birthday and Have a Rockin Good Time" at the end, we all watched
movies. The living room was arranged like a theatre. chairs row by row and we had the projector on. There was popcorn and soda around. We got to pick two out of three movies: Pleasantville,
Grease and Grease 2. We ended up watching all. Although most of the guests had to leave. Party bags: For Girls: record disc earrings, sunglasses, scarves and loads of candies. For the guys:
black combs, loads of candies and each has a fiftees toy car. It was all great. I'm thinking of a luau next. BUt I am soooo glad that everyone enjoyed it. This is probably the best party I've
ever had...
