Our daughter is turning 8 in a couple of weeks and is having a 50's party. She is inviting kids to come dressed in their favorite 50's costumes. We are having prizes for the kids that come dressed. We are holding a hula hoop contest, doing a car hop game. We have a 57 Chevy kids riding toy and we are going to have the kids put roller skates on and carry a cup on a tray to the person sitting in the 57 Chevy. We are also letting the kids make their own ice cream sundaes then we are having a dance a-thon to oldie songs from the 50's. Our menu will consist of some original 50's recipes and then the traditional burgers and fries, malts and floats. Our daughters cake will look like an ice cream float with pink bubbles, the straw and cherry topping it. Our decorations will consist of records, juke boxes, classic cars and music note cut outs and garlands. Records for serving dishes. 50's Diner signs and Rock-n-roll signs. Our prizes and stickers will also be in line with the 50's theme. And finally, each child will go home with a polaroid of them back in the 50's.
