At 11 I decided to throw a mega-glam 50's bash. 1st step: Pick up retro 50's cards at your local Halmark, or CVS. Express yourself in 50's colored pens like a soft pink or vibrant aqua.
Remember to add (on the invitations) dress in costume. 2nd Step: Buy, or reuse a 50's outfit from a previous year of Halloween etc. Personalize it with a touch of you and move on to the next
step. 3rd Step: Decorate! For the main party area I used my dome like screenless porch as a eating area. I folded delicate paper flowers and taped them onto the pillars of the porch. I also
completed the long table for eating with a pastel pink tablecloth. (You can add nametags for the seats if you like, I chose to have free seating). THE PARTY-About fifteen to twelve of my
friends arived in glitzy 50's glamour. We began the party by filling out the 50's menus of what we wanted for lunch. We returned them to the chef, and hussled outside for relays. For example
we had to hula-hoop three times, kick a soda bottle to a cone, jump rope, and sit on waterballons in a metal chair. Then we would race back and tag the next member on our team. Next we had a
scavenger hunt. With the same teams, we searched the house by looking at the witty clues my Mom made us. The winners got a special prize, pink lip gloss and a fuzzy purple diary. We rushed
back outside as I hit my Itunes. On it I had uploaded a 50's CD, so everyone put on a crazy dance. We found ourselves cracking up while we twisted around eachothers shoulders. Finally, lunch
was served. A LITTLE AFTER- we raced into the bastment which we had just redone. We played a competitive match of twister, and then watched Greece. Then we hussled back downstairs to wack at
a 50's pinata, and got our treat bags stuffed with glamorous goodies. HAVE A AH-MAZING 50's PARTY!
