This party was for my daughters 2nd birthday. It was the GREASE theme. She was dressed as one of the "Pink Ladies".
On her pink satin jacket, I made an iron transfer with her name on the front and the "Pink Ladies" on the back. She also had the matching poodle skirt with the black/white saddle shoes, bobbi socks and scarf. My son dressed as one of the "T Birds". I had a black jacket for him. Out of white felt, I cut out the "T Bird" emblem and adhered it with a glue gun. It looked fantastic. I was able to find black/white saddle shoes for him as well. He was very cool. The decorations were like the RYDELL High gym. The cake was a record with the personalized label. I also made the cupcake cones. The kids loved those. The games were the bubble gum blowing contest, hula hoop, Limbo. The best game and even the adults wanted in on this - was the DRAG RACE. There were two players at a time. I had an assortment of oldie cars (Matchbox) I had the kids pick their favorite. They placed them on a table. I had one of the girls begin the race with her scarf. The kids had to blow the car across the table. The first one to the end was the winner. It was great. We had cheerleaders for each side. The kids wanted to do this over and over. I also had the GREASE movie going on in the background. As the kids were watching this, I tossed the candy bags and crackers (decorated with rock and roll paper and filled with candy) in to the bunch. The kids went wild. I also had several tapes of oldies music made. Throughout the entire party, the kids and adults would dance to the music. It was a huge success everyone had a lot of fun!
