My six year old son is wild about airplanes so we had a simple but fun airplane-themed party at the local park. For invitations, I ordered styrofoam airplane from Oriental Trading and wrote in silver paint pen, "Jet On Over..." with all of the party details, including Arrival Time, Destination, and Airline Reservation Desk Number.  They were a huge hit!     My son had spent weeks cutting out pictures from pilot magazines, and we used those as well as the usual balloons and streamers to decorate.       Since we were at a wonderful park, we didn't need a lot of activities for 20 six year old boys, but we did have a coloring corner with airplane mazes, coloring pages, and dot to dots from various sites on the internet, including birthdayexpress.com.
