Alice in Wonderland Birthday Tea Party We had this party for my 1 year old and 3 year old Their Birthday are 6 days apart so we celebrate their party together. I made their party invitations
out of red card stock in the shape of a tea pot I tied an iridescent ribbon with red hearts under the lid to form a bow. For the activities we had a maze set up in the backyard. I purchased
material for $1 a yard at (Wal-Mart) and split it in half we used stakes that I got from Lowe's in a bundle about 3 foot high. We stapled the fabric to it and made a maze. I also went to a
local furniture store and got several large boxes refrigerator sizes. I painted the first box on the inside of the rabbit going down the rabbit hole we the attached a round tunnel to look
like the rabbit hole it went into another box that I painted the scene of her small eating the cookie saying eat me and she grew big I painted another box to look like the hallway that gets
so small I painted the doors to look smaller and smaller it led to the last box that had the caterpillar and some of the other caricatures. The kids had a great time crawling through the box
maze and seeing parts of the story. We had my sister dress up in he white rabbit costume and she led the kids through the maze(she came out saying I'm late I'm late for a very important date)
it was just adorable! We also had a white rabbit piņata filled with candy and goodies. For the Birthday cake I made a teapot cake out of 2 bowls and marzipan for the handles ,spout, and the
heart & flower decorations.
I also made the creamer and sugar bowl out of small bowls and decorated them with the same flowers for all the children guests we served them teacup cupcakes, my sister made their handles out of chocolate piped into a handle shape. Because we had their party together My 3 year old got the teapot cake with her candles and my 1 year old got the creamer & sugar bowl to eat for her 1st cake it was the perfect size for her! For our food we served a table set with silver serving pieces and crystal. We had every type of fancy food, The children ate off of the plastic scroll design plates and little clear plastic cups with handles they looked just like tea cups! We all had such a wonderful time my girls are 2 & 4 now & this party started a love of fancy tea party's!
