My daughters 8th birthday is at the end of June. Its close to the 4th of July so we decided to call it an American Girl party. We will invite about 12 girls. I found some american flag blank
cards at wal-mart that we will use as the invitations. And I also found some packages of american flag napkins at a garage sale for 25 cents a pack! At a discount card shop I found some
really cute tiaras with an american theme, they are sooo cute. We are going to have the party at a local park on a lake so the girls will be able to swim after the party to cool off before
they go home. We will be grilling hotdogs and Im going to make a cake in the shape of a flag. For beverages, it doesnt get any more american than good ole lemonade! I picked up some plain
white t-shirts, stencils with american themes and some spray on fabric paint in red & blue. The girls are going to make t-shirts that they will be able to take home. I found things for
the goodie bags in oriental trading company catalogue for really cheap, which i will put in small, clear, cellophane bags tied with red, white, and blue ribbons. I will decorate the covered
picnic area with red, white and blue decorations which I found at a fabric & crafts store. I am also having a cd burned with songs such as "Proud to be an American" to play at
the party. There will be one or two games, like bean bag toss. (also found in oriental trading co.) The girls are going to have so much fun!
