We had a GI Joe birthday and it was a great success. As the kids came to the house in their camouflage clothing, Riley issued them all the gear they would need! Each received a helmet,
binoculars, their faces were painted and each were given a "tattoo". Each was interviewed for a quick second, where they gave their name, rank and age and their party goal. Each
paper was signed by the Major ( the party boy ), then their Polaroid picture was taken and attached to the paper they signed as well. ( they were displayed on the wall so everyone could see
the others picture then they were given to them to take home as a souvenir). I made bean bags out of camouflage material and I drew circles on the lawn with spray paint ( oh, it grows
out!!!). The kids had to "bomb" the circles and ea. were worth so many points. Another game was using the same bean bags and using a trash can upside down, putting 6 cans (fill with
a little sand or dirt) and they tried to knock them all down. We had a piņata hummer that was filled with their candy bags (that makes it easier and no one gets more than anyone else). Our
cake was camouflaged and we all had fun saluting the camera for a group pose. It was really fun to dress up in the army get ups and all the kids loved it. I gave out little whistles and army
type figures in all the bags. That was last year and the kids all still talk about it and have their "mission statements" hung up in their rooms. This year we are off the sea.... it
will be a pirate theme, matey...... Have fun...
