Backwards Party (great for 5-7 yrs)  Start out by sending out Thank You cards and tell them they are invited to a backward birthday party. Make sure to tell everyone to dress backward for the party. You dress up too. When the guests arrive tell them GOODBYE.  All of the kids get into this with each new arrival. The way the kids dressed was too cute with their jeans and shirts on backward.  We played pin the DONKEY on the TAIL and the person that was furthest away was the winner. This was a big surprise to the peakers. We also played a game where the kids take a balloon and put it in between their legs and race backwards across the finish line. The cake had YADHTRIB YPPAH written on it and all the kids sang birthday happy to you.  Some of the kids were very clever and wrapped presents with the colorful part of the wrapping paper on the inside and wrote their cards backward too. When the guest are leaving make sure to tell them YOU'RE WELCOME and HELLO! The kids really get into the theme!
