Backwards Birthday Party
Years ago I gave a backwards party for my daughter using a lot of the same ideas already listed, except that the invitations were thank you notes (thank you for coming to my birthday party Friday, August 17th at 2:00. We had a really good time at the backwards party....) and the thank you notes were written on invitations. We played traditional birthday party games backwards -- take the tail off the donkey, musical chairs (start w/ one chair and add a chair each time w/ one person left standing at the end) ... It was so much fun and everyone had a great time and really got into the spirit.
