Backwards Surprise party
My mom pulled this one off, and it only works if no one knows whose birthday it is. She invited her close friends to a party. She told them it was just a get together, there would be games and whatnot. Everyone arrived, and the party commenced. Games, food, and fun. Eventually word got out that it was my mom's birthday. My mom wanted a big party for her birthday, and since my dad wasn't the type to throw a big party, my mom arranged a party where she would be the only one who knew whose birthday it was, and no one else. As soon as everyone knew, the birthday song ensued. She didn't ask for presents(which I think she should have) but it was the first reverse surprise birthday party ever.
