My daughter just turned 5 and Barbie is it!!I rented a hall(check your local halls mine was 6.82/hr.) and decorated it with 2 tones of pink, we had the kids make personalized pic. frames (I
cut and covered them with fancy tissue paper and wrote their name on each one in glitter glue before the party) we set up a fancy backdrop with tinfoil covered stars and moon and did a
Polaroid of each boy & girl (dressed up as Barbie & ken), they then put them in their special frame which had my daughters name and date of party written on the back. The cake
was a Barbie doll with wings attached set in an angel food cake as well as cupcakes with little sugar lipsticks and nail polish's on them. I used plastic wineglasses filled with cream
soda to match the table ware, I also used a box of Barbie valentines - I cut out the valentine words and folded the cards in half, using them as name cards on the food table. This allowed me
to keep with the Barbie theme without spending a lot. We had a freeze dance game with bubble gum awarded to all. We brought a box of dresses & jewelry for everyone to play dress-up.
As the children left they were given a fancy cello bag with a Barbie outfit (1.00 at the dollar store), a candy lipstick & a lace covered hand mirror. The boys received a pokemon poster, candy, & a toy truck. The kids all had a great time and the parents have called to thank me for the wonderful picture. I hope this will give someone an idea for their child's next party!
