for my daughters 4th birthday she wanted a barbie dress up party but the only problem with that was she has alot of boys for friends so I made a Barbie dress up and G.I.Joe party. first I printed up invitations to the boys that read ..attention all g.i.joes . we are on a mission to celebrate princes Barbie's (calli) birthday ...date  ...time 1400hrs...base last name army base (then address)..RSVP base commanding officer... wear your camouflage clothes and be prepared to dance with all the Barbie's in town... on the front of the invitations I had a princess and a gijoe ... then I made up invitations to the girls and on the front it had a castle and a princess w/ a gijoe it said on the front ... once upon a time there was a princes Barbie... and the inside of the card read... daughters name request the honor of your presence at her fairy tale birthday party...on the day of enchantment 1/27/00...the royal ball begins at 2:00...at the Harvey castle... be sure to wear your best Barbie ball room gown and be ready to dance with the cutest gijoes in town.. then I ordered GI Joe plates and Barbie plates and I decorated the house up like a castle the best I could with streamers and balloons ( they were green and pink) all the kids came dressed up in dress up clothes and the boys in army  gear made great picture I had a clown come and do balloons and face painting for the boys(if they wanted) she did there face in camouflage) and we played pin the bow on Barbie and hot potato but with a Barbie and the winner and the first one out both won a prize then we had cake and ice-cream and opened presents it was a fun time for everyone...its agreat idea for a boy and girl party for Barbie
