We decorated with bales of hay, bandana tablecloths and used clear vases filled with hay to anchor lots of red and yellow balloons. We called friend who had animals and gathered up a sheep, bottle-fed goat, a pen full of baby bunnies and a Shetland pony. A four-wheeler and small trailer provided a hayride throughout the party in addition to pony rides. Each child received a straw farmer hat and colorful bandana when they arrived (ordered from Oriental Trading). I picked up a horse on a stick at Toys R Us, made "lassos" by using electrical tape to make rings from stiff rope -- they children tossed the lasso to ring the horse that was stuck in the ground. Other games were horseshoes and bobbing for apples. I took digital pictures of the children on the pony and dropped them into a frame I had already to go in Printshop and printed them four to a page on magnet paper. They each took home a magnet of themselves on the pony for the refrigerator. Lunch was fried chicken, corn on the cob, salad, and deviled eggs.
