My daugher is 7 and I decided to have a petting zoo at her party. This brought on the barnyard theme. I found a local petting zoo servicer and booked the zoo and pony ride for two hours. I
decorated the party with red checkered table clothes and made chicken nests (yellow easter egg grass glued to a paper bowl with white boiled eggs inside) as the center piece. I bought dollar
store plastic farm toys and placed them here and there. We served lemonade, pigs in a blanket, chicken nuggets, "chicken feed" (chex mix) and watermelon.
I started the party an hour before the animals arrived so to buy time for late commers. It was so nice to see the kids eagerly watching the animals from the window. And the party was great! Some kids waited to ride the pony while others played and pet the cutest baby ducks, chicks, pigs, etc.
