The invitations were a white ball made out of cardstock. The red rick rack was used to make the stitching and said Come have a ball with (child's name). The other side read: "Come join us in the dugout as we celebrate (child's name) rounding 3rd and sliding into home for his 8th birthday." (child's last name) Stadium with address time and Reserve your spot on the team by calling (ph. #) by (date). We started  off with foil wrapped hot dogsnachos&cheesepopcorndrinks and cake (3D Wilton's sports ball). The games we played were: Rounding the Bases- I had hula hoops with baseball bases layed out in the backyard like a baseball diamond.  Each player(all on the same team) start at home plate.  The object is not to get hit with a soft playground ball by parent(standing by the pitcher's mound) while running the bases.  As each player successfully ran all the way around the bases to home again they would put one small baseball from one bucket to the next to keep track of the runs. The boys run at their "own risk" from base to base "safe when in the hoop".  If the parent hit the child with the ball that would be considered an out and they would need to go back to homeplate.  3 outs and the game ends. Count the balls/runs they scored and play again: musical bases using ESPN presents Staduim Anthem (Music for fans) CD from Amazon.; sunflower seed spitting contest (their favorite- they each had their own bag lined up tryin to get as many as they could on the bases in front of them). Party bags (Popcorn boxes with cracker jack baseball pendants & small lego car. Prizes for games were bouncey baseballs.         "
