Baseball Party-7yrs old For my sons 7th birthday we had a baseball party.  His birthday is in October so it was perfect weather.  Invitations: Card size white cardstock. Read: Join us at the ballpark for a good old fashion ball game to celebrate Gage's 7th birthday.Bring your bat and glove to (location here)  I printed these out on the computer with baseball graphics. Location:  I called our local ballfield where my son plays baseball and reserved a field. Our ballfield also has a covered pavillion with picnic tables and benches. Gifts: I purchased 8 red and 8 white shirts from the local craft store I also purchased iron-on letters and numbers, I put names and a number on each childs shirt.  I also purchased shirts for the little brothers and sisters of some of the guests, on their shirts I put "little sister of or little brother of #--". As the guest arrived the kids practice out on the field,  My husband and his brother and our older niece and nephew were the coaches and they also had shirts that read "Coach". Decorations: Baseball tablecloths (green and red was the color theme) Red and green plates, napkins balloons etc, I also made a concession stand sign with our menu on it.  When everyone arrived we started the game. We played 4 innings(Red vs White)  After the game we ate and had cake, then hit the baseball pinata.  Food: Pizza, Chips, Cracker Jacks, peanuts, Bubble Gum and blowpops all the stuff you find at a ballfield concession stand. Drinks: Poweraide, bottled water, and soft drinks.  Cake: The cake was a baseball diamond with baseball players on top. It was very easy.  I used a 8x8 pan, placed the cake on a board, frosted it with green icing.  Then I used white piping to make the base line and bases.  I also used brown sugar for the pitchers mound and sprinkled it around to look like dirt. It was really neat.  I also made baseball cupcakes white frosting with red piping to make the baseballs seams. Very Easy. After we finished and before anyone left I took a picture of all the kids and coaches.  I sent the picture in their Thank You note.  The kids seem to really have a good time! The party was suppose to last 2 hours, but the kids and adults stayed way longer playing and throwing and running the bases.
