My son Zachary turned 6 yrs old in October. The party theme was Baseball. Invitations were sent to all the kids in a baseball theme and I also included a newsletter about the
party. The newsletter included the menu for the party, stats on Zachary, and letting the kids know everthing they had to bring to the party like their baseball mit, a picture of
themselves playing baseball or going to a baseball game and a bat.
A week before the party I had all the kids come over and fabric paint on white t-shirts. The t-shirts were decorated by team color (red team or blue team). The back of the shirt they wrote their last name and a number and did additional decorating. They all turned out really cute. At the party they all wore their shirts they had decorated because it also showed what team they were on. The table was decorated with a red table cloth and at each place setting I made a placemat made out of brown poster board shaped as a Home Plate. At their place setting they each got a baseball with their name on it, a cupcake with a baseball player on top that was a candle. The table also had peanuts for the kids to munch on. The menu included the baseball hotdogs, chips, grapes and gogerts. I also made a cake shaped out of a baseball mit. After they ate lunch we played a few games. The first game was longest ball thrown. They each took the ball they received and gave it a long throw and took a marker and marked it in the yard so they could see were everyone had thrown theirs. The second game was the ballon dart game and then we finished the games with a relay race. The relay race was taking a baseball bat and putting your forehead on the end of it and going around the bat with your forehead pressed on the bat and then taking the bat to the next team player. My son thought of that one. Next we did the famous pinneta. All parties have to have that. Zachary then openned up his gifts and then we headed to a baseball field down the road and had a real baseball game where they got to slide and run and hit the ball and have lots of fun. They all really enjoyed that. The party bags were filled with Big League baseball gum, a baseball eraser and baseball cards. The party was a success. After the game the kids then came back to my house for a snowcone. The end.
