Baseball Party for 12 yr old When my stepdaughter was in 6th grade she wanted a baseball party. Which turned out pretty cool, especially for adults and older kids. First I went to my local parks and recreation center and reserved one of the baseball diamonds and the outdoor shelter next to it for the day of the party (which was $15) this basically gave me the right to the diamond and allowed the ask anyone to leave on that day. Then we sent out invites - I used clip art of a baseball and re wrote the words to "Take me out to the Ball Game" to fit the party theme (Come lets go to party! Come lets go have some fun! Come to M\*\*\*\*\*\*'S baseball game, it will be so much fun you wont leave there the same- Oh! its root root root for the birthday girl if you can't come its a shame! For its ONE! TWO! THREE! Times the fun and M\*\*\*\*\*\*'s Birthday Game!) Then I put Wear your baseball clothes and bring your baseball gear and come ready to cheer cheer cheer on (time) at (place) and then I added in case of rain info on the bottom (It wasn't necessary but I rented baseball blooper tapes just in case). I emailed most them with a midi file that played the music so everyone could sing along. The menu was all food you'de eat at a baseball game. Soda, hotdogs, nachos, big pretzels, chips, and of course peanuts and cracker jacks. I got set everything up so I manned the "concession stand" and family and friends could get what the wanted when and return to the baseball game. We played kids against adults and neither team really did great but it was alot of fun. Then we called everyone over for cake (a big sheet cake decorated like a baseball field with plastic players on it) and presents. After that it was time to break the baseball pinata (I paper mached one of those big punch ballons and then painted it to took like a baseball and got one of those cheap plastic bats and a blindfold) filled with candy. It was alot of fun and could be done for almost any age and the best part was it was very inexpensive the whole party maybe cost $75 and I had almost 40 people their.
