My son, who is 10, loves the Detroit Tigers.
So, when I mentioned the idea of having a Tiger Party to him, he was elated to say the least. First we made invites that looked like real" game tickets. They read "You're invited to _______________ 10th Birthday Party; Date:__________; Game Time:____________; Stadium:(insert your address); General Seating and Standing Room Only; Admit 1. On the top of the ticket I copied a picture off the internet of his favorite player batting and put it on the top of the ticket. On the bottom of the ticket I had a few clip art images of the Tigers Logo and the bar codes. Under the bar codes were 1st bar code-GAME; 2nd bar code-10(for how old he is turning); 3rd bar code-his birthdate. They looked pretty authentic. I printed these on card stock. I also included a flyer with the ticket(s) it read "Please use these tickets for admission to ______________'s 10th Birthday Party; General Seating & Standing Room Only; Special Promotions for Game Day Include: Game day dinner; Special Cake & Ice Cream; Autograph signing by (insert Childs name) (#1 Fan of Magglio Ordonez); Anyone wearing Detroit Apparel will recieve Free Pack of Baseball Cards upon arrival. For the dinner I had a Game Day dinner witch included: Hot Dogs Cracker Jacks Peanuts in the shells Nacho Chips & Cheese etc. most things you would find at a ball park. (We had adults invited also) I went to our local Sam's club and picked up nacho trays & Hot Dog trays so it would feel like you are at a Baseball game. I had a cake made with the Detroit Logo on the cake I found little baseball hats that were candles with the Tigers Logo on them and placed them on the cake. I bought balloons with the logo on them and had them on our front porch as the guests walked in and had the house decorated in a Baseball theme. The kids all brought their gloves and played a little baseball in the backyard. This was a more of an adult party for my son and so we didn't play games. We had a baseball pinata for the kids to hit and I had it filled with baseball cards and baseball theme candy. Everyone enjoyed the party adults included."
