NBA Basketball Party...  Great for a boy who loves basketball! We made our own invitations on the computer and printed them on stationary decorated with basketballs.  Encourage all your guests to wear a NBA basketball jersey. We started with pizza and Gatorade.  We have a hoop in the front yard, but you could also hold the party at a playground.  We then played "basketball games" such as who could make the most free throws in a row, who could make the farthest shot, and the ever popular slam dunk contest (We lowered our hoop for this, you can also use a little tykes hoop)  Prizes for these games were a little basketball, a poster of Kobe Bryant and baseball cap that had our local NBA team logo on it. A full fledged basketball game was then played, with the Dad's getting a little too involved! Inside for a cake decorated in a basketball theme done by any bakery.  To calm them all down before parents started arriving we had them watch Space Jam on video. Goodie bags included, NBA pencils, NBA stickers, ref type whistles, a pack of basketball cards, bubble gum, and a power bar. It was a great party!!
