My 5 yr old Batman, DJ, sported his dashing cape, mask and gloves, all homemade in less than 1 hr, for the party, his friends dressed as characters as well. A welcome sign greeted our
guests at the door, explaning that villians had stopped by with goodies to celebrate, but that batman was still being cautious.
We served Batcake, (homemade cake in shape of a bat) Cat Woman chips, Poison Ivy Dip which was placed in a bowl with silk ivy surrounding it, Riddler cookies (plain sugar cookies iced and a green quesion mark on each one, TwoFace sandwiches (1 slice bread peanut butter on half, jelly on the other half topped with 2nd slice of bread, cut on diagonal) each item had its own place card made from yellow construction paper, matted with black paper. The plates and napkins were plain white and we made napkin rings with black construction paper. The placecard read that the plates and napkins were supplies by the Penguin, another placecard instructed guests to see Mr Freeze for drinks (a cooler filled with various sodas). Varius catch phrases from the show were cut out of constructin paper and used to decorate door and walls. Since our present to Batman was a new Swing set the entertainment went from that to the trampoline. Great fun for all involved!
