My son is crazy about Batman, so for his 3rd Birthday we had a Batman party. His invitations were done on the computer with Batman on the cover saying "attention Gotham City John is turning 3".  I made a Batman ice cream cake by layering any pan 9x13 inches is fine with wax paper. Next frost the inside of the pan with cool whip, you can color it any color. Let ice cream thaw so it is soft (the microwave is great on defrost setting) and layer over the Cool Whip.  Place crushed Oreos next and then another layer of ice cream (I use chocolate and vanilla ice cream) put wax paper on top and squish down, to get out all the air.  freeze for a full day.  Time of party: Flip over pan and remove wax paper.  Decorate with candy letter and can of whip topping.  I also used a Batman toy for the top.   Decorations:  Cupcakes with bats on top (look for bats around Halloween time. Batman pinata Games: Have pictures of the Batman villains and play musical chairs but draw a name of one of the villains when the music stops. Make a bullseye out of tag board and put on floor and have them throw foam bats at target Pin the Batman to the search light. I made Batman capes out of black cotton material and Batman masks out of black flannel.  I made Batman tattoos on my computer. The kids had a Ball! The birthday boy had a full Batman costume.
