Puerto Rico has a tropical climate or weather for that reason I'm going to celebrate the first birthday party of my son with the beach theme, I think that there's no better theme that this one. This is going to be next May but I started to planned before because is more easy.  The party is going to be in my father's beach house. Because I'm a college student, also my husband, we cannot spent a lot of money, so I don't have a big budget, for that reason I think an idea that is great and inexpensive. For decorations there are: colorful balloons, and a lot of fishes and creatures from the sea made with construction paper, paint and ribbons. Is cheap and very fun make them. For the food I decided to make a barbecue; hamburgers, French fries and hot dogs for everyone, also I'm going to make rice crispies treats "arenita dulce" or sweet sand(that is a dessert made with cool whip and crushed vanilla wafer)and on the top I'm goin to put some star fish and crabs candy, blueberry Jell-O with fish molds, cookies, etc. and for drinks: sodas, blueberry juice and piña colada; my baby godmother is going to buy me the cake as the gift for his birthday. For the games I have everything: beach balls, water guns, small beach balls with the form of fishes, crabs, octopus, etc., pail sand sets so the kids can go an play with the sand, etc. I bought to my son a small pool that have a palm tree, basketball set for play and other things, this one is for the babies and toddlers and my mother is going to buy a large one for the younger kids. For each kid I have a small pail beach pail set and a candy bag and the prizes for the games that we are going to play are beach bags   (that my mom and my aunt are going to make, full of candy, toys, small towels, erasers, pencils and a cup). For the invitations I'm going to make fishes with construction paper and then write all the information in the computer. Because all my family is going the party is for approximately 50 people but you know something! everything: decoration, prizes, toys, invitations and food, all cost me less than $100. I know that this birthday is going to be fantastic, totally successful, and something that my baby is going to enjoy a lot.
