Money Saving Summer Fun Party I had a summer fun beach party to say good-bye to all my friends because school was over and summer was coming. I thought it was a good idea because most
girls want sleepovers, but they usually cost a lot of money, but I thought a beach party would be fun. I was turning 11 and I invited around 15 girls to come. For the invitations, I made sea
shell, and bucket ones by hand. But instead of using construction paper, I used felt to make them. When the girls were first arriving at the beginning, they went to the craft table to
decorate and pick out a bucket and shovel to hold their favors, and prizes. I bought them for 5.00 a dozen for the buckets, and 3.00 a dozen for the shovels. The girls could pick from either
colored-sand to sprinkle their name on after they wrote their name with glue, or they could just write their name out with glitter or neon glue. I put out pom-poms, pipe cleaners, glitter,
glitter glue, permanent markers, paint, glue, paper, felt, foam, yarn, and more decorating supplies. It was a fun thing to do while waiting for other girls to arrive. When everyone had
arrived, I had my whole party in the backyard, except for the candy hunt in the house, and to watch special TV recordings.. I set out a mini blow-up wading pool filled with water and some
bath-time toys and bubble foam if they wanted to play with it. For all the games, the girls were split into 2 teams, or teams of 2. I played name that tune in 2 teams, and which ever person
in a group shouted out the right song title, they got a point. I tried to let everyone have a chance at answering the songs. Another game was ice-cube blop. They were in the same 2 teams. I
set out a smooth table with a couple of cups taped to each side. A team was on each side. Their goal was to get an ice-cube into the other team's cups. They could only blow with their mouth.
Whichever team did, got a point. But the trick was if they blew the ice-cube off the table and not into a cup, the other team got the point. A fun game was beach ball toss divided into 2
teams. These were just a couple of the games. For the party favors, I had 4 boxes filled with bird seed I got free. Each girl reached in, and tried to grab a favor. The favors in one box were
scented little bottles or containers of lip gloss with sunscreen, lotion, lip balm, bath gel, and stuff like that. The other box was filled with gel-pens. And another was filled with
play-doh, and plastic cookie cutters. The other box was filled with regular party favors. The girls had lots of fun with the candy scavenger hunt, and there was no fuss over candy. The cake
was shaped into a shell, with rainbow frosting on it. WE ate Popsicle's for desert instead of ice-cream, and we also ate this really yummy white colored agar Jell-O food colored with blue
food coloring. I stuck gummy candy in it before it was solid. I had a great time at my party! It was a summer fun blast!!!!
