I had a Blue's Clues birthday party for my son's 3rd birthday. For decorations I had light and dark blue and white streamers and balloons hanging from the ceiling, Blue's Clues party goods (table cloth, plates, napkins, etc.), blue plastic silverware, I decorated the center of the table with the cake and blue confetti and Mylar strips with small plastic BC characters scattered throughout. My husband and I made several large poster size cutouts of the BC characters in party hats (from the Blue's Clues birthday coloring book), and I had a small red plush chair that had my son's Steve and Blue dolls sitting in it on the buffet table. I made Magenta punch (raspberry sherbet, sprite, and berry punch juice concentrate) and had blue Kool-Aid.  I also had an inflated Thinking chair for the kids to sit in.  For games I bought a small plush Blue and played "Hot Blue" (like Hot potato) to the music from Blue's Clues, I bought a shovel and a pail and painted them red and yellow and painted on faces and glued on wiggly eyes, then I took blue felt and made bean bags which I painted blue paw prints onto and the children had a choice of either trying to throw the paw prints into pail, or carrying them over balanced on the end of shovel (the ages ranged from 1 to 5). I also bought a mailbox (under $5 at Wal-Mart) and painted it up to look like Mailbox, complete with wiggle eyes.  For goody bags, and here I did go over board so pick which one you like best, I made pails out of red plastic cups, punching holes on each side and running a pipe cleaner through for a handle, drawing a face on the front, complete with wiggle eyes, and little shovels made out of yellow plastic spoons, with drawn on faces and tiny wiggle eyes.  I filled these with blue Mylar strips, small plastic BC character figures, bubbles, and BC fruit snacks. I also got manila envelopes and put in coloring books, stickers, pencils, and little BC "best friend" award ribbons (all of which I got at my local "everything's a dollar" store), which I put in Mailbox for my son to hand out at "Mail Time".  I also bought the BC treat bags, filled them with Piņata candy and tied them with blue ribbon and hung them from the bottom of a Blue piņata (it was December, so the party was inside and I wasn't about to let 10 toddlers loose with a stick to hit that thing in my house, but they loved pulling their bag free from the piņata, which I hung on the front door so they could get it on their way out, and it added to the decor.).  As I said, I went a little nuts with the treat bags. I also bought plain colored party hats, made little curly things out of pipe cleaners which I stuck sticking out of the top (if you see Blue's Birthday, you know what I mean) and then when each child arrived, I had them decorate their hat with little round stickers (the color coding labels for file folders, although you could use BC stickers, these were a lot cheaper and looked more like the hats from the BC Birthday), which was a big hit and easy for the little ones to do.  Anyway, it took a lot of time and effort, but it was worth it, and I had fun making all the little crafts and characters, and my son still to this day plays with his Mailbox and Shovel and Pail toss game.
