For our son's 2nd Birthday Party, we decided to go with Bob The Builder as the theme. We purchased Bob the Builder invitations, piņata and everything that we could find with the theme at
a local party supply store. We sent out the invitations and included in them to come dressed in their favorite construction gear. We rented a Giant Moonwalk for the kids to play
and jump to the music of Bob The Builder. The C.D. was pretty easy to find. Food was served in construction items, chips and dips in paint cans, veggie tray and finger sandwiches
in paint trays, etc. Cups, plates, napkins and plasticwear were placed inside different sized trucks for added effect. We purchased aprons and goggles for the adults at a local discounted
store. Also, we were able to get small kid aprons for the kids courtesy of Home Depot.
The cake consisted of a huge construction site of "dirt" mountains, and Bob's Building Yard. The "dirt" mountains were made of cake covered with toasted coconut and crused up Oreos. We also put candy (M&M's and Jelly Beans) for added decor and color and , of course, Bob, Wendy and the rest of the crew. The house and yard were entirely decorated with construction signs, orange construction cones, yellow and black construction tape, paint cans, brushes, and the such. Some of the games were potato sack races (kids and adults)& digging in the sand for treasures (in a small kiddie pool). Both kids & adults had a blast, not to mention the Birthday Boy!!!
