Pre-drill holes in 4 2x4 boards, stand them on end, make the bottoms stable with supports.  Get nails and small little "real" hammers and screws and small stubby screw drivers. Place the nails in the boards and the screws in the boards to start. An adult will need to supervise. The kids have a ball nailing the nails and screwing the screws. Provide eye protection 3. Go to Bob the Builder.com and print out coloring pages and copy of all the charecters. Set up a coloring table. The invitation was a blue print on one side of our house and the other side was a copy of Bob the Builder form websitre poster poster option.  Roll up adn rubber band to give out as party invites.  We did this for my 3 year old sons party and he had an absolute blast.  His friends and the parents were amazed at how much fun they had and how safe they were.
