Bob the Builder - Construction
We had a Bob the Builder party for my four year old son. I found Bob the Builder invitations, plates, napkins, party treat boxes at a local party supply store. In addition, they had a Bob the Builder pinata. We purchase a Bob the Builder costume for my little boy to wear and posted construction signs that I made on my computer on the front door for the guests to see when they arrived. Signs said things like: Party Hat Area and Party at your own Risk. Once all of the kids arrived, we drove them all to the local Home Depot to participate in their monthly Kids Club. It was a lot of fun. Each child got an orange Home Depot apron with their name on it. In the monthly Kids Club activities, they use sandpaper, glue, and small tools to build something (this particular months theme was Thanksgiving and each child built a turkey sucker holder). We rolled out a tarp in a corner of the store they had allowed us to use and had cupcakes and drinks while my little guy opened his presents. Then before dropping each child off, we gave him a Bob the Builder box filled with toy tools which I had purchased at a local dollar store (we had thought of candy paintbrush and paint sets, bubblegum tape measures, etc. but his birthday is right after Halloween so we opted to just put toy tools in their gift boxes). It was a darling, low cost, low stress party. Everyone had a wonderful time.
