My 2yr old son wanted a Bob the Builder party.
I took yellow caution tape (that I got by stopping on the side of the road and asking some construction men if they could spare some for a child's birthday party) and used it as streamers and taped off certain areas of the yard. I took a wheelbarrow and filled it with ice and put all sorts of drinks. I took posterboard and made signs Children at Play, Caution, Hard Hat Area, etc. All the kids got yellow construction hats and I painted their names on them. My sons hat said "The Boss". Even mom & dad wore them. I bought nail aprons for each of the kids (they filled them with candy & stickers before they left). They all got a watergun and before the party was over they had a watergun fight and all were soaked even the momma's & daddy's got involved. I took all his trucks and Bob the Builder toys and sat them around for decorations. I had candy in the dump trucks, silverware in the loader, etc. His cake was Bob the Builder. I had his Little Tykes workshop outside for more decorations and for the kids to play with. His Pops dressed up like Bob the Builder and gave out balloons at the party. I played a personalized CD(which you can order on-line) it sings his name 100 times throughout the cd. I also started a tablecloth on his 1st birthday where he puts his handprints on it and I draw a picture of the theme for each party. We served hotdogs, chips, dip, cake, and ice cream. We took lots of pictures. Everyone had a Blast!
