Bob The Builder Party- 2 yr. old. My son was turning 2 and he loves Bob the Builder. We decided to have the party at the park since it was nice weather (plus I didn't have to clean the house). For the invite I made it up on the computer with a picture of a back hoe and listed date and time.  For activities I got a large box and cut a portion of another box to make a roof line to make the box look like a house. I got 3-4 different colors of paint, some sponge rollers, and brushes and let the children "paint the house".  I have a friend that is a kindergarten teacher and she let me borrow smocks so the kids would not mess up their clothes. This was the highlight of the party and the box got painted over and over and over again. I also had my husband  take 2 pieces of wood and pre-drill holes in the bottom and 8 holes in the top and had the children make crayon holders. They screwed the screws on the holes in the bottom to hold the 2 pieces of wood together and then they got to paint their project.  After it dried I gave them each a box of 8 crayons and they put the crayons in the holes. I also gave them a Bob coloring book as a party favor. I put their snacks (peanut butter and jelly sandwich, pack of crackers and a juice box) in a brown paper bag like a lunch for a construction worker.I fixed other snacks on a table for the adults and children also (veggie tray, fruit tray, and chips).  The cake was a sheet cake with a dirt road and at the end of the road was a mound of brown icing for a dirt pile.  I went to the dollor store and got some generic toy construction stuff and put that on the cake along with a toy figurine of Bob the Builder. They each received a yellow construction hat to wear that I got from Oriental Trading.  We did a piniata and used the construction hats to put the candy in and then transfered it into an extra paper bag at the end. Also for the tables I used black table cloths and then cut strips of yellow construction paper and taped them down the middle of the table to make the table look like a road.  I had some games set up to play but the kids liked the playground so they got to free play and the adults got to socialize.
