Artemis Fowl Party 9-14: I have decided to turn the popular childrens book into a party for children of both sexes ages nine to fourteen. INVITATIONS: For the invitations, make a green clover shaped card (LEPrecon) and put these words: STAY BACK, HUMAN. YOU DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH. Then put all of the party information. Do not forget an RSVP date. DECORATIONS: Streamers and balloons can be green because the book is set in Ireland. Label your door like a shuttleport for officers riding on magma flares. Example: Shuttleport E2 Emerges in Los Angeles, California. Just adapt it for your address. Lots of accesories such as "high tech" looking machines and signs that say "Haven City, 5 Miles" or "Eleven Wonders, Up Ahead". Further decoration information will be in the activities section of this party idea. ACTIVITIES: This is a huge category. When guests arrive, take their presents and lead them into the "LEP Academy" This can be a dining room or living room with high tec gadgets and a space cleared in the middle. Have an adult or older helper dress up as each of these characters  (1 Commander Root and (2 Foaly. Have Root tell the "cadets" that they are now official student of the LEP Academy, etc. Now have Root tell the kids that as a test to see what they know, they will have to go on a test mission. All they will have is Neutrino 4000's (water guns). They will then split into two groups. One group will try to defend the "ship" and the other one will try to steal the top-secret information. Have the ship be anywhere outside, because the kids will get wet! This is basically a big water fight. After that give all the kids LEP Trainee certificates. Then they will all get a lesson on the language of the People. Then they'll have to crack a code (use the Symbols font on Microsoft Word). After that serve lunch. (Basically hot dogs and hamburgers with cake). After lunch, have the kids go on a "real" mission this time. At the eleven wonders the trolls have gotten loose and have wreaked mayhem on Haven! Have a couple people dress up as trolls and storm "Haven". To make Haven, create buildings out of old cardboard boxes. DO THIS OUTSIDE. This time the kids will be equiped with walkie talkies, but they will be blindfolded. They only way for them to communicate will be with the walkie talkies.Three hit with a Neutrino brings a troll down. At the end, give kids certified LEP agent certificates. Then, before they go home, do a ship design craft. Use inexpesive "foam sheets" (available at craft stores) to design a ship to ride on magma flares. Hope this idea helped!
