Nursery Rhymes Book Party 2yr

INVITATION: A small photo of the birthday boy was printed on the card with this rhyme: Hey Diddle Diddle X is turning two! We hope you can come; We'll have lots of fun With food games and balloons!" at The X's Rhyming Ranch; I also had a small tag attached with ribbon saying "Bring your favorite nursery rhyme book and the puzzle piece to help us put Humpty back together again". (A piece of a Humpty Dumpty puzzle -found on the internet was in the envelope).  DECORATIONS: The front sidewalk was lined with nursery rhyme posters bought and laminated at a teacher supply store and stuck on wooden posts. A Humpty Dumpty canvas purchased from Hobby Lobby sat in the rocking chair by the front door. Cardboard metallic stars (Twinkle Twinkle) hung from the light fixtures and nursery rhyme books and posters were throughout the house. ACTIVITIES: 1. Place Humpty Dumpty puzzle piece on puzzle (I had an extra set of pieces in case someone forgot their piece) 2. Decorate Buger King crowns with foam sticky pieces (Old King Cole) 3. Beanie Baby toss in the air (Hickory Dickory Dare) 4. Jump over candlestick (Jack Be Nimble) 5. Pat-a-cake on cookie sheets (Pat-A-Cake) 6. Bubbles and playing outside in new sandbox at the end of the party SNACKS: I had a small card in front of each snack saying the rhyme. Hershey's Kisses Mice (recipe on internet) -Hickory Dickory Dock; Cheese Cubes-Three Blind Mice; Marshmallow/Grape Kabobs-Jack Sprat; Pigs in a Blanket-This Little Piggy; Goldfish in clear dixie cups that I had written "Jack and Jill" on; Tub full of bottled water and juice boxes-Rub-a-Dub-Dub; Humpty Dumpty cake made on a large rectangle pan with an oval cake on top. Fruit roll ups icing skittles and life savers were used to create his facearmslegs and outfit. FAVORS: Little Jack Horner bags found at Hobby Lobby; (Each prize had a small nursery rhyme attached to it that I printed from the computer). Mother Goose coloring book taken from various internet sites Small box of crayons Sheet of Mother Goose stickers purchased at a teacher supply store Recorder -Little Boy Blue  Band-aid -Jack and Jill Envelope with Hey Diddle Diddle printed on front with small laminated characters depicting the rhyme printed from the internet Spider ring -Little Miss Muffet Note saying "Thank you for rhyming with me at my 2nd birthday party""
