For all of those eager readers out there. We invited all of the book worms to come to our house for a couple of hours of reading fun. The invitations had a picture of a book worm on the front
and told a story about the happenings at the party. We asked each child to bring a new wrapped book to the party with out names on them. When the children arrived they put the books on the
shelf in a pile. Next we served brain foods such as apples, celery with peanutbutter and cheese, crackers with cheese, and pretzels. We read stories while the kids ate snacks. After a couple
of stories we made book marks for the kids with stickers and posterboard and personalized them with their names (printed stickers on the computer). Then we brought out the wrapped books and
we gave each child a different book (careful not to give them the one they came with) They all tore into the packages and everyone was pleased with the present they got. For take home !
packages we had cheese and cracker snacks, fruit snacks (gummy), raisins, animal crackers and a juice box. The bags were decorated with a book worm sticker made on the computer. I was amazed
at how well a group of 18 kids with ages ranging from 3 to 7 listened to the stories and enjoyed the activities. I am doing it again this year just for fun. Hope you enjoy this as much as I
did.
