Bowling Party 7yr

March 2006

Bowling party 7 yr old.  FOR THE INVITE: I cut a circle out on a folded piece of blk construction paper, for a bowling ball. I added 3 white circle stickers (like you would use for a yard sale). Cut out a bowling pin on white paper glued behind the ball and added two red strips on top. Inside I printed out the info with a bowling scene (clip art) behind the invite info and cut out into a cirlce and glue insided. It read..\*\*\*is having a bowling birthday party.  The Queen Pin will be turning 7.  Don't be a poodle, strike the date of March 4th on your calendar. So in your spare time, come to \*\*\* from 1-3pm. Don't be a sleeper, say you'll be a turkey and be there. Call the house to RSVP by March 1st \*\*\*-\*\*\*\*. I looked on the internet for "bowling terms" to use for the invite.  GOODY BAGS:  I bought red lunch bags, cut out smaller circles from blk construction for balls and white paper for bowling pins. I gave each child a bag, blk circle, bowling pin, 3 white circle stickers, red markers and glue for them to decorate their bag.  CAKE: I used the cake idea from familyfun.com it was a bowling pin w/ ball on top. Plus I had 1 ball candle and 6 bowling pin candles. Very cute and easy.  DECORATIONS:  Since it was at the bowling alley I could not decorate too much but I did buy a red table clothe, blk plates and again I put 3 white cirlce stickers on each plate, blk napkins, red forks. Drinks were provided by the bowling alley. I also made a t-shirt for my daughter using again the idea from familyfun.com.  I transfered a bowling pin w/ the #7 in it with her name underneath.  I could not afford to make one for each child.  I did do name tags though for each child by painting white ice cream sticks (not popsicle sticks) and putting red strips on them and below the strips I wrote their name on them w/ a blk sharpy.  Then glued the pins on back of the stick and they put on their shirts.  The children played 1 round of bowling and then we did the cake.  Afterwards we did a pinata. Me and my daughter made the pinata to look like a bowling ball. They used their goodie bag to put thier prizes in.  Then we did presents. When it was time for each child to leave I added to their goodie bag a blk balloon, a thing of bubbles which we put a label on them saying "I hope you a bubbling good time at my bowling party, Love \*\*\*".  We also made candy bags, using the craft ziplock bags, we added Whooper candy to each one and stabpled a label saying..."Mini Bowling Balls"  "thanks for coming".  It was fun and now my little boy wants to have a bowling party for his birthday...his will be easy to plan :-).
