Bratz Rock Star - 9year old girl party
My daughter is currently obsessed with becoming a rock star. Together, we came up with the following idea for a party where she and her friends can live out this fantasy. When: Saturday night 7-9PM (AKA Girls Night Out) Who: All girls The party starts with the girls taking 20 minutes or so to put together a Bratz-inspired rock star outfit from a collection of evening gowns, wraps, and bohemian funky clothes. They will each be instructed to wear a swim suit or leotard to the party under their regular clothes to make the changing easier and to bring their own fabulous shoes. When everybody is ready, we'll take pictures in front of a giant silver star and award best rock star costume. Each girl will also be instructed to bring a CD+G with at least one song they want to sing. We will set up a stage by hanging a silver metallic curtain and a custom birthday banner (shindigz.com) between two columns in the living room. The stage will also have a microphone/karaoke machine and a high stool. My son will run the Karaoke machine and each girl will get a chance to perform solo or as a group. Those who aren't performing will sit in the audience and cheer the performers on. When they are all done, we'll have the girls decide who was best and award prizes. We can even have a "sing off" if the performers are too close to award a winner. Refreshments will be served "backstage" and consist of chocolate fondue, fruit, finger cookies, punch and water. (My daughter doesn't like birthday cake and she loves the ads for the "Chocolate Factory" on TV.) If there's any time left over and the girls are tired of the karaoke machine, we also have the Bratz board game: "Fashion Chat." The girls can decide if they want to change back into their normal clothes or go home in their new Bratz persona. Parents will pick up at the end of the party. We're hoping this one will be a party to remember!
