My younger brother had a fabulous reptile party. We got a man from the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo to come in and bring animals. He brought: an 8-foot Python, a Chinchilla, a Sheep, a
Parrot, and an Alligator! It was great! Then we made ice cream using liquid nitrogen, and the kids got to throw in their topping choices. Such as gummies and M&Ms. For cake, we served a
snake cake, which are very easy to make:
-Get two store-bought cakes, baked in a ring shape. -Cut each in half, and arrange the pieces so that they form a curvy snake. -Shape the snake's head by trimming cake from one end, to make a head shape. -Ice and decorate with candies, gumballs for eyes, and licorice for the tongue! The kids loved the snake cake. They had their ice cream, and then they broke a reptile-shaped piņata. We ordered pizza too. They learned all about the animals, and for goodies we gave them lots of plastic animals, fruit candies, a yo-yo, and a bouncy ball!
