BUTTERFLY THEMED PARTY GAMES: 1.  Caterpillar treasure hunt:  Each child was given a specific color caterpillar to search for (i.e., red, pink, blue)  Caterpillars were made out of 6 1/4 inch sized pom poms glued together to resemble a caterpillar. Each child found their colored (10 per person) caterpillars. There was one "special" caterpillar that was multi-colored. Whoever found that won a special prize(butterfly hair accessory).All other children received a piece of bubblegum for each caterpillar they found. 2.  COTTONCANDY COCOON EATING CONTEST:  I bought packages of cotton candy and a package of clothes pins. Balls of cotton candy to a clothes line by a clothes pin. Each child lined up in front of a "cocoon" with their hands held behind their back and ate away at the cottoncandy cocoon. First person to finish won a prize.   3. PIN THE BODY ON THE BUTTERFLY: Using posterboard, I cut out brown oblong shaped pieces for the butterfly body attachments.  Using whiteposter board cut out a butterfly shape and decorated the wings with markers. 4.  This was an outdoor party, the rest of our group/relay games were in the pool. CAKE:  The cake was a green frosted sheet cake covered with flower sprinkles. Decorated butterfly cut-out cookies were arranged on the cake. A plate of butterfly cutout cookies were also set out. FOOD:  included butterfly shaped and flower shaped tea sandwiches using cookie cutters, cut up fruits and vegetables, chips and drink boxes. PARTY FAVORS: Included flower and butterfly stickers, butterfly pencils and erasers, butterfly hairclips, candy
