Carnival Party Venue; local park and your home  Decorations; Balloons in primary colours, streamers in primary colours, lifesize pictures of clowns, elephants, jugglers etc., have all games and amusements, food packaging and entertainers in primary colours  Invitations; Make using PC include; clowns, balloons, rides, games, laughter etc., make sure there is the who, what, when, where, why and how on the invite  Music; If you can't find fair ground music then just play some of your childs favourite songs  Activities;   Balloon dart game, tack full balloons onto a cork board, have darts to throw at it, hit under 4/6, receive a minor prize, over that recieve a major prize  Ring-toss, have old bottles attacheed to something flat on the ground, use rings [from coyts sets, mini basketball hoops or magic tricks etc.], kids can throw the rings onto the bottle, award prizes using the same principle as in the balloon dart game Rubber duckie game, have an old wading pool filled with rubber ducks with magnets attched to their head, use a stick to tie a piece of string holding a magnet on it to "fish" for the duck, different ducks [identify them with different numbers]are worth minor prizes or major prizes Knock-em downs, stack old softdrink cans in a 3,2,1 pyramid, using foam balls the kids try to knock the cans down, 3,2 or i knocked down = a minor prize over that is worth a major prize  Ball in bucket, set up 3 bucket so they are on a slant, get children to try and throw a large bouncy ball into them, if it stays there they get a major prize How many in the jar?, get a clean glass jar and fill it with your childs favourite lollies, kids must guess how many are in there, the closest guess wins the lollies  Basketball shooting game, using the basketball hoop at the park, get kids to shoot, if they miss they're out, last person in wins  Muck around on playground, the playground at the park is an easy way to let the kids burn off some energy   Amusements, just let the kids go wild [if using pony rides make sure there is plenty of supervision  Watch and interact with the entertainers, entertainers can be anything, friends and relatives dressed as clowns, professional mimes, clowns, magicians, musicians or face painters etc.  Eat and drink, what more can I say? Watch movie Texas Carnival turn on the Tv and VCR and relax  Participation prizes; Fake spiders, cute rubbers/pencils, bouncy balls, little bag of mixed lollies, mini gel pens, gum, lip gloss, hair clips etc. Winner's prizes; Family block of Cadbury chocolate, cheap photo-frame, cheap teddy bear, cheap bunch of flowers, cheap tiara, etc.  Menu; Popcorn [hire a popcorn machine if budget permits], peanuts [hire a hot peanut stand if budget permits, or make one], Fairy floss [hire a fairy floss machine if budget permits, Hotdogs [hire or make a stand if budget permits], Individual bags of chips hire or make a stand if budget permits], Hot chips hire or make a stand if budget permits], clown ice-blocks hire or make a stand if budget permits], cans of soft drink hire or make a stand if budget permits], sno-cones [hire a machine if budget permits]-EATEN PICNIC-STYLE  Cake  Baked in the shape and iced like a clown, tent, ball game etc.  Favours; 2 sheets of clown/balloon stickers, 1 red nose, thankyou note, individual bag of chips, packet of glo-sticks, handful of lolly rings + gumballs +UFO's+Moro's  Rough Schedule;  Arrival  11am Games  11:15am-12:45pm Play, slide+playground 12:45pm-1:30 pm Eat and drink  1:30pm-2:10pm Walk home 2:10pm-2:20pm Open presents  2:20pm-2:45pm walk home - 2:45-2:55 Watch movie- 2:55pm-4:15pm Cut cake, sing happy birthday and distribute party favours 4:15: 4:30 Depart  4:30pm  Miscellaneous Make sure there is plenty of supervision at all times!!!  Some other amusements could be hired if the budget permitted such as miniature cars, miniature boats, inflatable slides and a reptile show. If wanted to make into a "sleepover" you could add some or al of these activities;  A carnival themed craft activity - key rings, making hats, scrapbooking or making photoframes The performances of a carnival themed skit by the attendees  A carnival themed dare game HAVE FUN WITH YOUR PARTY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
