Eloise's Black and White Ball from the book by Kay Thompson.  The invites will look engraved and then I  will have my daughter write her name across them like Eloise does in lipstick on the mirrors.   Unfortunately, there is no partyware available, so we  are going to ask the kids to come wearing black and white and do bright pink partyware.  My daughter will wear her Eloise dress-up clothes.  I will have dress-up boas and tiaras for the girls and top hats and ties for the boys as an icebreaker.  We are also planning to skibble around the area a la Eloise. Party  bags will be similar to the Eloise hotel survival kit (cat  eye sunglasses, comb, charge it please notepaper,  lipstick, french postcards, raisins for Skipperdee,  birdseed and some treats).  We haven't decided on a location.  A local hotel would be optimum.
