My 8 year old daughter loves Mary-Kate and Ashley so for her 8th Birthday, we had a Mary-Kate and Ashley sleepover party. The theme was "Friends forever". When the girls
arrived, I had a big birthday banner and MaryKate and Ashley poster hung up.
I had a table set up for the girls to make friendship bracelets. Also we bought a Autograph dog that resembled the Olsen's Dog, clue and had all the girls sign it. I also had a treasure of jewelry sitting on the table. After the girls were done, we ate Pizza, cake, and opened presents. During this, the jewels were stolen. Since the Olsen Trenchcoat twins were not available, I asked the girls to help solve the mystery. I gave each one of them a detective kit ( A bag with sunglasses, flashlight, magnifying glass, small clipboard, notepad and pencils, all order from Oriental trading) Then the thief had left a trail of clues that led eventually to the jewels. The girls found out that when our neighbor had come over to borrow a cup of sugar, she decided to "borrow" the jewels also. I was so overjoyed, I decided to share my jewels with each girl. They all received a necklace, 2 rings, and a bracelet. (All ordered from Oriental Trading). Then to commemorate the friendship forever theme, each girl got to make jammies for the sleepover. I printed a picture of the Olsen twins on to iron transfers and ironed them on white t-shirts. Wal-Mart had their shorts on clearance for a dollar so I also bought shorts. Then I got my fabric pens out and the girls decorated them and signed each other's jammies. Finally, we got a big projector and watched Olsen Twin movies until the girls fell asleep. This wasn't all that expensive. Everything came out to less than 10 dollars a child, including the food. and the best part, it was A Lot of fun and my daughter has memories of her 8th birthday forever!!!!!!!
