Gumby and Company party 2 year old
I have a daughter, who just turned 2. I decided to give her a Gumby party. For the invitations, I had a picture of Gumby from "Gumby: The Movie." Inside, I wrote a poem "You are invited to have fun, At Joy's party she'll be glad you'll come, There will be games, gifts, and more, It will never be a bore...My little Joy's turning Two. If you have a heart, Gumby's a part of you!" I gave each room a book-like theme...(Since they can walk into books) I had hung towels with book characters like Cat in the hat, Madeline, e.t.c., so the kids could "walk through" books. They games were a big hit! We played a game called "Bash the Blockheads." Kind of like that milkbottle game...I put 6 red building blocks (Faces painted on to look like them) on a cardboard box and kids had to throw wiffle bals at them...Each kid wins and the one who got most down got a gumby plush doll. Another game (for the parents) was how many Gumby bendables, (little ones) were in a jar. Right after the presents, The kids watched Gunby: The Movie... For the gody bags when they left, had Gumby and Pokey stickers, Goo Bendables (bigger than the gumbys in the jar), Mini books, Play-Doh, and some treats...This was a successful party.
