Elve's Night Out.First you invite everyone by buying a clear christmas glass ball (one per guest)buy transparency cut it out into little circles a little smaller than a cd.Write IN PERMANANT MARKER on each one the party information.roll the transparency up and stick it in the ball place the cap and add a decorative bow at the top.Deliver each one to the guests mail box aproximatly 1 1/2-2 weeks in advance from the party date.When the guests walk in the walkway will be shoveled you then send them into a room where they will chat and drink hot apple cider until each guest arrives.waiting at the door will be three elves.they will all be wearing black skirts.one with a green sweater one with a red sweater and one with a white sweater.We bought elf hats at the dollarama for 1$ each.the elves are my sister and two friends. The smell of chocolate chip cookies fills the air.(candles from giant tiger betty crocker candles 1.97$)When every guest arrives we will split up into teams of three.in one room there are crafts(crhistmas greeting cards).and another room gingerbread man decorating.and another gingerbread house making.(250ml milk cartons with raham crackers and gumdrops and such.and in another station up stairs there are makeovers. The elves are upstairs my sister in her room doing hair.One friends in the bathroom doing nails.and an elf in my room doing make up.after each girl has done all the stations we then will go into the family room where the christmas tree is up.a person dressed as santa or an elf or even a snowman will rea us a story.We will then have a sundae bar set up.it has 4 ice cream flavors chocolate,vanilla,strawberry and of course candy cane.we have loads of topings and 2 whipped creams chocolate and regular.after while we are munching down on our sundaes we will do our yankee swap or cookie swap now everyone knows what a yankee swap is but whats a cookie swap?well you ask each guest to bring their favorite cookies about 2 dozen.they can bring them in a zip lock bag.Once again dollarama had excalent cookie festive tins.You can then place each type of cookie in the tins ex(one for choc chip brought by amy one for peanut butter brought by olivia)they are all going to be on display.you then pick a number and go pick what cookies you want then afterwards you have good cookies and a good tin to take home.you can swap cookies with your friends too.the elve then go stand by the door as guests are leaving they have santa hats or elf hats to place on top of each guests beautiful new makeover as they aere being picked up. ADDITIONAL TIPS- -if the party is passing a meal time you may want to order pizza and serve eggnog or pop  -this party can also be used for any age between 3-18 years. if you want to givwe goodie bags heres an idea.put a candy cane on your christmas tree one per guest.attach a tag each saying something different the thing written will lead to their treat bag.they can include -pencils -earasers -makeup -elastics -plus their gingerbread house and cookies and their decorated gingerbread men. These party ideas are only guidelines.BE ORIGINAL BE DIFFERENT THROW AN UNFORGETTABLE PARTY.THIS PARTY I AM HAVING ON THE 18TH OF DECEMBER 2004 ON A SATURDAY BETWEEN 5-10 PM.so it will cut back on pizza costs and you can serve chips and pop or something.You can also play christmas music during the party to enhance the mood and get into the spirit of christmas.GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN THROWING A GREAT PARTY.
