After a trip to Disney World this spring, my daughter fell in love with the idea DREAMS COME TRUE" Dancing & Dreams Coming True". The mood was set with the invitations
featuring the Fairy Godmother sprinkling fairy dust on the invite. The invite read
"Hear Ye! Hear Ye! In honor of Princess Sydney's Fifth Birthday King Jimmy declares the 27th day of July Year 2007 a DAY OF MAGIC! By Royal Command "Prince/Princess Name Here is to be in attendance at (Your Last Name) Castle for an unforgettable night of dining dancing and dreams coming true! RSVP Fairy Godmother" The children arrived dressed in whatever they wished to be that night. We had princesses pirates peter pan knights rock n rollers you name it. They arrived to a backyard full of balloons bubbles cotton candy machine and white christmas lights all over the tree trunks in the backyard. They entered the magical place via red carpet and a photographer to take a picture for a memento. Thirty minutes into the party Cinderella appeared with the song playing "So This is Love". Everyone was surprised especially the birthday girl. Cinderella gathered the children 20 in all and told them the story of how her dreams came true and the kids had the power to make wishes happen too! She gave them each a small pumpkin threw fairy dust all over and with their eyes closed tight had them scream out five times "DREAMS COME TRUE". After this she told them to run to the front of the house and see if they made magic--they were all amazed to see Prince Charming in the Cinderella Horse and Carriage sitting at the front. They all rode around the neighborhood for and 1 1/2 in the carriage and felt like royalty! When they returned they found a pinata full of candy and a dance floor to dance the night away! For food they had pasta hot dogs tater tots chips--all kids "dreamy" food! There was an abundant supply of cookies icing pretzel rods and for the cake I made a crystal covered "Happy Birthday" Topper so it would sparkle on top of a 3 tiered pink birthday cake! Since most of the guests were five and starting school they each received a personalized lunch box with a tag from the birtday girl wishing for them their dreams to come true. It truly was a magical night for everyone there! The birthday girl and guests still have their pumpkins and the parents were fighting for a ride in the carriage. It is a party that we will never be able to top!"
