I did a Cinderella Ball for my daughter's sixth birthday. I rented a room at the local city building. We invited friends, family and her whole class and also old preschool friends. I had
invitations printed out like it was an official invite to a ball. They had a man and lady dancing on the front. I ordered all kinds of cinderella figures, etc on Ebay. My co-worker and her
husband turned an eating table into a carriage that sat in the center of the room with a castle cake and all the figures around. They also made a bridge and placed blue material under it like
water. As the guest walked in we introduced them on a mic as Prince "
" or Princess " ". We played music. We also have a large high back wicker chair with a foot stool that I got at a second hand store and redone. On the stool we have a pillow that had a cushion slipper attached to it. We played games such as "Mop the ashes",etc. I used halloween mops from Walmart for that. We gave away prizes,a glass slipper, etc. I also rented a horse and carriage that really went over well with all of the kids! My co-worker had made 3 huge cinderella scene pictures to put on the walls. She made a huge 8ft tall clock from a refridge box which we took each child pic by it. We then annouced that it was midnight. Everyone came dressed up or dressed as a Disney Princess. I had my daughter a Cinderella dress made and bought her the clear plastic dress shoes. Everyone lined up and my brother and co worker's husband had all the girls line up in a line to sit in the wicker chair to try the plastic slipper of my daughter's on, of course it only fit her. Two of my frineds also pretened to be the step sisters. We had little flute glasses and just pizza, fruit, and finger foods. The children both boys and girls had a ball! My 8 year old cousin said that it was the best ball he had ever been to.
