For my daughters third birthday she wanted a Cinderella party.
I found a computer program that had disney clip art(Disney Print creations by Print Artist) and I used that to make her invitations. For party hats I bought Tiaras for the girls and crowns for the boys. I had intentions of getting gems for the kids to decorate their hats but never got around to it! I dressed my daughter in a cinderella outfit and gave her a special Cinderella tiara from the Disney Store. For the party plates and cups I got them through Birthday Express, they have an excellent line of Disney Princesses. Since her birthday is in February it was going to have to be indoors so I rented the hall from our church, I got a great price since we are members and I didn't have to worry about cleaning my house! Another consideration for a party spot was our local community center but it was booked for the day. Once all the guests had arrived, Cinderella made her big appearance. I had hired a woman who does entertainment for children's parties. She sang songs, made balloon characters, danced, told stories and did face painting. My daughter felt like a princess for a day! For food I did appetizers which centered around the Cinderella theme. I painted a pumpkin to like Cinderella's coach and used that as a dip bowl. I traced a pattern of her white horses and set them up to look like they were pulling the coach. I served a chocolate fondue, had a veggie platter, chips and dip and crackers and artichoke dip. For her cake I made a doll cake. I had bought a Cinderella doll to put in it to make it look more authentic. I made the "skirt" of the cake by baking two cake mixes in a bowl. I also made a round cake to put beneath the doll cake. It was a full day of fun for the kids, my daughter is still talking about her party.
