My daughter turned 4 so we had a Cinderella Ball Birthday Party for her.
All guests were escorted to the door by footmen, which was my 10 year old nephew and his friend. They entered into the door which was framed out with a Castle made by my husband out of plywood and painted. When they entered, my basement was decorated with white twinkle lights and tull everywhere and Cinderella balloons and centerpieces. My invites were made on a computer which was printed on scrapbook paper with princesses. Each guest was asked to where a gown or suit, which they did. Everyone looked so adorable. Once the guests arrived, they were given a crown or tiera and a magic wand. They were then asked to stand in front of the castle a we took their picture. They then were escorted inside to the Ball where the party began. They first made picture frames out of foam and decorated them. These were given to them at the end of the ball with the picture of them in front of the castle. After making the frame, they all played pass the glass slipper, which was like hot potato only we used a "glass slipper" which I made by glueing glitter onto one of my old heels. As they were out, they were escorted to another craft area where they made necklaces. All the guests made their own pizza to eat, which they had a great time with. I bought individual crusts and laid out a bunch of toppings. I made punch in a punch bowl and had varous other snack foods. As the guests dined, CINDERELLA arrived at the party. She was a friend's daughter who wore a blue prom gown with a tiera. All the kids were in awe that Cinderella was there. Cinderella read them a story and they all listened intently. Afterwards, the Birthday Girl opened her gifts and finally, all guests were escorted to an awaiting carriage for a final ride. We used a hay wagon and decorated it. The kids loved it. At the end, Cinderella gave out good bads which were little purses filled w/ goodies for the girls and little lunchboxes filled w/ goodies for the boys. All in all, everyone talked about this party and all the kids had a blast.
