Clifford Birthday Party for a 3 year old. For decorating ideas we used the Clifford theme plates, napkins, cups, and table clothes for the present table and food table. For the
children's tables, we used yellow and blue alternating each one. We felt that this would break up the colors.
The table decorations consisted of Clifford's made of out toilet paper rolls and Clifford balloons. We used a dog bone cookie cutter to make ham and cheese sandwiches. All food items were served out of stainless steel bowls. The dip was served out of a food and water dish. We also had puppy chow (chex cereal, peanut butter, and chocolate chips mixed together). The kids thought the puppy chow was great. We had red punch to drink. The cake was a sheet cake. It was red with white icing and had Clifford and Emily Elizabeth on it. The cake and ice cream was served in personalized doggie bowls. I made dog ears out of red construction paper and tied them to each child's head with red ribbon. With their ears on, they played see how many doggie bones you can drop in the bowl. They had to stand on their knees in a chair and drop them in the bowl. (this is a lot harder that you think). After the game, the birthday girls' brother read the Clifford Big Birthday Party story. For the gift bags, we used brown lunch sack with a dog bone made out of card stock taped to the front of the bag with the saying "A BIG thank you". The party was a dog gone good one!
