For my daughter's birthday we had a Clifford (the Big Red Dog) theme. We decorated our walk with red chalk paw prints and used red, white, blue & yellow for balloons, napkins,
etc. My husband is artistic so he made the pin the tail on Clifford game. We also had all the guests guess the number of dog bones in a jar. The goodie bags for the older
kids were "doggie bags" decorated with Clifford stickers, paw prints & filled with: a Clifford coloring page, crayons, mini playdoughs, bubble gum & dog bone sugar cookies
& Clifford board books for the infants.
The adults were given a list of 10 "Things We Can Learn From a Dog" with cute sayings like, "Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride." etc. and a package of Big Red. We served chex mix (Kibbles & Bits) in red dog dishes, had cake (decorated with a picture of Clifford of course!), red punch, red/white/blue/yellow M & M's, dog bone shaped sugar cookies & red Jell-O jigglers cut out in the shape of a dog. We used the Clifford invitations & napkins purchased from a party supply web site. Everyone had a great time & it's the little details that make a party a little more special.
