My two-year-old really enjoys the PBS show Clifford so I selected a Clifford theme for her birthday party. Little did I realize that Clifford party merchandize is limited. I was able to order
plates, napkins and hats off the internet but getting creative was the key for everything else. For a cake, I had a local grocery store bakery create a beach background on a cake and I
purchased Clifford squeeze toys for the top of the cake's decorations. (I found a small bucket of squeeze toys at a local department store.) It looked fantastic! For goodie bags, I did
a doggie grooming kit in a bright red bag. Then I purchased doggie grooming items in red: a small red hairbrush, tooth brush, bandana, dog sunglasses and a red whistle. Of course we played
"Doggie, doggie where's your bone?" with a raw hide bone and Pin the tail on Clifford (homemade) as party games! We snacked on sticks..pretzel and bread sticks and for dinner we had
hot dogs, chips, and dog bone biscuits. We ended the celebration by eating our cake and ice cream from personalized dog bowls. Everyone had a "dog-gone" good time!
