A year after having our daughter we were blessed with twin sons. With three little ones we had quite a busy year and wanted to celebrate their first year and our major accomplishment of surviving the first year with twins in a big way.  I chose the theme of stars and picked out blue and white decorations to match.  The boys wore "Baby's First Birthday" shirts in blue and white with "Fun to be One" blue baseball caps and everything from the tablecloths to the cake, balloons and guests matched. I came up with an invitation on my print program and printed it out on a blue star background. I did the math for this figuring that we went through an average of 6-8 diapers a day (more in the first months), multiplied it by three and then multiplied it again by 365 (days).  I figured we do at least one (usually more) loads of dishes and laundry a day and so on.  You will have to do your own math but the outline will work for any first year parent no matter how many kids.    Oh, What a Year!!! (Invitation Headline) This year we... Went through 32, 606 ounces of formula, Changed more than 6,570 diapers, Dealt with the cutting of 18 teeth, Took more that 5,800 digital pictures, Washed over 730 loads of dishes and laundry, Have given over 400 baths, Slept 8 hours total, combined the first month alone, Picked up thousands of toys,  And have given out over 1,000,000 kisses and hugs...  And Boy Oh Boy It Sure Was Worth It! (Inside Left - Appropriate for twin boys)  (Inside Right) Come and help us Celebrate our  Star Accomplishments  and wish David and Daniel Weaver a  Happy 1st Birthday! Sunday, May 2nd, 2004 at 3:00 in the afternoon Hosted by (parents names) (address)  If you would like to be festive, please wear blue. Dinner will be served. R.S.V.P. to Stacey at (phone number)  There was not one person who didn't arrive wearing blue.  We got a huge group shot (before the kids dug into the blue frosting).  Instead of party favors, each family took home a centerpiece which was a blue sand bucket stuffed with blue shredded tissue and filled with blue shovels, rakes, bubbles, balls, pinwheels, beach ball, etc...  We did not go with a blue food theme, but made it easy on ourselves and had a Mexican Bar set up on a table. We had refried beans, seasoned beef and cheesy Mexican rice in crockpots, taco shells, tortillas, chips, black olives, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, green peppers all sitting out so that the families with kids could eat in shifts and people showing up late could help themselves without coming into cold food. And of course a blue pinata and some margaritas (for the adults) made the party more fun.
